Theory and Musicianship
Grade 1 - 2
CD-Rom based theory and musicianship course.
Theory and Musicianship 1-2 is designed for the musician who wants to read music, be aware of musical terminology and appreciate the different styles that make up the rich fabric of the musical world. Theory and Musicianship 1-2 is an introductory course which, is followed by the companion product Theory and Musicianship 1-6 aimed at the aspiring professional musician.
The interactive components in this program include animation, audio, drag and drop, radio buttons for multiple choice answers, scales, circle of 5ths, transposition wheels and an onscreen piano keyboard to assist with musical concepts. You can hear all musical examples for both rhythm and pitch.
At the end of each section there are exercises to provide you with feedback on your progress. These exercises are automatically marked and build towards a final result. You can repeat the exercises and assessments as many times as you like until you are satisfied with your results.

Theory and Muscianship 1-6 is designed for the musician who wants a comprehensive knowledge of music theory. At the end of the course you will be equipped for entry to university or music colleges throughout the world. You will already have completed many of the theory components contained in an undergraduate degree.

Music Theory
For Primary Educators
CD-Rom based theory and musicianship course.
Music Theory for Primary Educators is an interactive course that can be installed on your computer. You can choose to complete either the basic or the advanced course: the basic course approximates grade one while the advanced course approximates grade two of the Accrediting body. Completion of the basic course will qualify you for the pre-requisite requirements in music theory for your primary education degree at most Australian Universities. You should check with your university as to any specific requirements.
This program has many interactive components which let you experience tone, rhythm, pitch and harmony. The mysteries of key signatures and scales are revealed with easy to understand wheels. Other interactive components include animation, audio, drag and drop, radio buttons for multiple-choice answers, scales, circle of 5ths transposition wheels and an onscreen piano keyboard.
At the end of each section there is an exercise, which is automatically assessed and marked. You can repeat the exercise as many times as you like until you are happy with your results.
When you have successfully completed the course you can print your certificate of achievement for presentation to your university.
